A flat roof, decorative brickwork, recessed entries flanked by display windows, and large upper-floor windows to maximize light typify the storefront/lodging combination. George H. Casey, a realtor and manager of the Butte Sampling Works, owned the building in 1903 and resided in one of its upper apartments.
