The distinctive home served as the winter residence of Alfred and Senia Croonquist. Well known for promoting Montana tourism in the 1920s and 1930s, the Croonquists were owners and proprietors of Camp Senia, a dude ranch and fishing camp in the Beartooth Mountains. With the help of local Finnish craftsmen, Alfred built the bungalow of lodge pole pine and native river cobble in 1922.
